A Pantommime by Limelight Scripts
Arial the Mermaid is intrigued by the human world but forbidden by her father, King Neptune, to ever go there. Elsewhere, Circe, the evil sea-witch, plans to steal Neptune’s trident and overthrow him, and forces two hapless taxi-drivers to assist her.
Meanwhile, Prince Valiant has decided to seek adventure on the high seas, but his ship hits a rock and sinks. Fortunately, Fairy Coral and Fairy Seaweed save all onboard, including fishmonger Sybil Sushi, her son Winkle and worker, Hazel. Valiant and Arial meet and fall in love, but Circe wants Valiant for herself and hatches a plan that sees Arial give her voice away.
Just as the double-crossing Circe looks to have won, Sybil and co ride to the rescue, with a plan conceived by Fairy Coral and Fairy Seaweed, and assisted by Cockle and Mussel from Mr. Mussel’s Magical Emporium. The Little Mermaid is a pantomime, suitable for the whole family, featuring a mix of modern and well known music.
